Lanta Seafront Resort

Booked a room for 3 nights but had change of plans and tried to cancel,sent 3 diff messages without reply. So I figured since I had to pay for the 1st night anyway I just went and stayed 1 night. When I came they said oh no problem,you dont have to pay. But I was already there. Same night I needed help and went to reception. One Lady was there she saw me but she was praying. I thought fine, I just wait. But after 10 mins I gave up without reaolving anything. Its fine you need to pray but maybe have someone cover for you or atleast check on me after. So, my experience make me give them only 1 star. Hotel lovely though,a bit dated and need of some upgrading soon. Like the lock on my door was broken,I slept with my purse under my pillow.

Terrible experience. Overbooked and left us stranded with nowhere to stay. We booked this hotel four months ago, confirmed with the hotel the day before arrival and travelled three hours to reach the hotel. Got there and was told by rude staff there is no room for us. We were then told there might be a twin room to which we said okay. They then informed us there was no twin room and we need to find somewhere else. The staff were the most rude people I’ve ever met and I urge anybody not to stay here. Dreadful

We didn't have any problems when we arrived, the staff was quite nice, but... The rooms were not in a good condition, the mattress was pretty old and nasty (luckily, we didn't find any bedbugs), everything was old and the condensate drainage from the AC led directly to the shower corner - the water was rotting and it stank throughout the whole room. The location is great, though.

Pro:
The pool is clean, frequently cleaned and has a kid-friendly part and a deeper - about 2 meters - short part in the middle. The resort has a very reliable taxi service for 200 baht / adult. If you go early to have a breakfast, then the staff is trying to serve everything as fresh as possible. From the reception you can book various trips, also can settle the payment (beware of the extra commission if paying with card). Some very good restaurant nearby, also their own at the seaside serving with excellent quality. Depends on the location of your room, in the early morning hours monkeys are coming close to the resort to search for food. They always kept some distance, probably the staff frequently keeping them away, also the resort has cameras, so felt safe during our stay. AC worked perfectly, beds were comfortable and the location is quiet during the night. Communication through Booking was quick and easy prior to our arrival.

Con:
The pool is a little bit small, seemed bigger from the pictures. But OK as the beach is accessible through the restaurant. Staff failed to lock one of our rooms after cleaning which is a minor problem thanks to the camera outside. Expect some stinging sensation in the sea if you are sensitive to it due to tiny jellyfish larvae. Harmless and temporary, nothing to worry about.

Hands-down amazing hotel. It’s clean and the location itself makes up for everything. Room service could be bit slow but I liked it.
