Holiday Style Ao Nang Beach Resort

We are here for 4 nights and are on our last day here.
This is an OK hotel/resort. However, we would not stay here again.

The rooms are small but clean and adequate.
Because the resort is set back off the main road, it is quite quiet at night.
It is well located fairly close to the night market.
We have a 3rd floor pool view room with a very small balcony and only one chair, which wasn't much of a problem as the sun was on the balcony all day so it was unusable.
Breakfast is adequate.

The pool and garden are lovely, with a very large grassed lawn area adjacent, all of which are well maintained. The problem is that there are not nearly enough chairs or sunbeds for the size of the hotel. Nearly 200 rooms = potentially nearly 400 guests, and only a few dozen sunbeds.

To add to that, many people get up early and put a towel on a sunbed, and then go off to do other things. Currently, at 11:00 a.m. there are 18 sunbeds in the small garden area near the pool, only 6 of which are occupied and the others just have towels on them to "reserve" them, and they have been that way without anyone laying on them for the past two hours. The same goes on throughout the day. So unless you want to join in and play that game, you will not be able to get a chair or sunbed at any time in the day.
Making matters worse, the lovely beach across the road has no services, like sunbeds etc. So your chances of being able to relax in on a sunbed anywhere are pretty much zero.
Strangely, in the huge well maintained garden area, there are only a 3 or 4 wooden sunbeds and a few rusty garden benches. Not sure why they don't provide more seating there.
The hotel appears to have some firm rules, such as not taking a coffee out of the restaurant after breakfast, but unlike many resorts, they have no rule against this crazy "reserving" of sunbeds. Other resorts we have been at have a rule against reserving or leaving a sunbed unused/unattended for more than 20 or 30 minutes.
It really spoiled it for us because we had no outdoor seating options at any time anywhere.
For this reason, we wouldn't stay here again.

Don't be guided by the word resort in the name. It is more of a hostel type accommodation. If you stand in the corridor, even a whispering tone echoes like anything. The rooms are too small and feel cramped. If you open your suitcase in the room fully, you will surely bump in it while navigating the room.
The only saving grace is the location. The breakfast was ok and if you are a vegetarian, good luck to you. Apart from bread, potatoes and fruits, you are left in the lurch.
I had asked my tour manager to book it after seeing its pics online despite her reservations, so that's how it went.
I won't suggest it if you want a decent hotel but if you want to relive your hostel memories, go for it.

Other than the rooms being clean, there is nothing positive to say about this hotel. It is genuinely one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.

We booked between Christmas and New Year at short notice with very limited options and had read the reviews, so thought we were prepared. We weren’t. At £220 per night, this hotel is wildly overpriced. Reviews suggesting it is more like a £50-a-night experience are accurate.

The hotel is completely soulless and does not feel like Thailand at all. It is basic, uninspiring, and depressing. The grounds and pool area are bleak and poorly maintained, with food and drinks often left lying around for long periods, attracting birds and making the area feel dirty and neglected.

The bar and food are extremely poor. We had one piña colada on the first day and after that gave up entirely. Drinks varied wildly in colour, taste, and strength, and even a gin and tonic was undrinkable. The food is limited to greasy burgers, chips, and sandwiches and is genuinely worse than McDonald’s.

The rooms are very basic, with paper-thin walls and rundown, outdated interiors that feel like a 1990s Travelodge. Music from surrounding areas can be clearly heard at night. On arrival, the bedsheet didn’t even fit the bed and had to be changed late in the evening.

Water pressure is consistently poor, often dropping to a dribble when showering or washing hands. The toilet smelled strongly of sewage, meaning we had to keep the lid closed at all times.

The hotel also seems obsessed with charging guests for everything. Towels and umbrellas must be signed for, and there is a 500 baht charge for a lost key card, something most hotels show flexibility on.

Overall, the hotel feels dated, rundown, and uncared for. Nothing about it justifies the price. I would strongly advise avoiding it altogether.

Came here in December 2025 for 2 nights stay with family. The room standard is pretty average size. They have few hangers for you to hang your clothes and limited space for luggages. It was nice gesture for them to decorate the bed with the anniversary message. The bathroom, amenities were limited but guess it’s 4 star local hotel therefore don’t expect too much. Some suggestion would be to offer basics like toothbrush.

Breakfast quite a bit selection as it’s 4 star hotel, don’t expect lots of variety. For us, it was good enough to keep my little one busy. The hallway of the hotel is in resort concept long hallway with rooms facing each other. If you are placed near to a lift, do expect lots of noise at night when people walking back to their rooms.

For the good plus item here, hotel is situated really good location to go night market or the beach and most shops are located nearby. Definitely good location for sure! The pools are clean and definitely great for family to hang out. My little one did enjoy on this for sure.

Overall, decent hotel to stay for sure. It would be better if they incorporate the suggestions.

Location - 5/5, Really close to the night market & the view is amazing from the beach which is at 2 minutes walk from resort.
Staff - Had one bad experience - They gave only one room key at checkin and asked for two keys at checkout. The receptionist asked for 250 baht for the missing key, When told her to check cctv camera - She said it's okay and no need to pay.
Rooms - Okayish, walls are thin so mostly was able to hear anyone passing by in corridor.
Breakfast - It was okayish, 2-3 vegetarian options were present everyday
