Krabi Elephant Shelter

We were picked up directly from our hotel, which made everything very convenient. Their company color is green and the logo is an elephant, so it was easy to recognize them. I appreciated that they called out loudly when it was our turn to get picked up as it made the process feel organized and smooth.
When we arrived, we were welcomed and seated while our tour guide shared many interesting facts about elephants. She did a great job keeping everything organized and easy to follow. They also offered free juice (orange, grape, pineapple, etc.) and small cakes.
They provided lockers with keys so we could store our belongings during the experience.
First we went to feed the elephants and had enough time for pictures. There was staff taking photos and watching over the elephants too. After that we had time to change to swimsuit (we had ours on ready to go) then we went to the bathing area where we had to put our phones and keys away unless you had a water proof pouch. The elephants were friendly giants and there was also staff there too helping out and would take photos for us. At the end of the day provide the. Your email to get the link for photos. After bathing with elephants they were walked to the shower area where we helped clean them the shower got us soaked but it was fun. When we finished bathing we went back to the main area to take a shower with shampoo. There were individual showers with closed doors and one big room with many shower heads. At the end we had some mango sticky rice and fruit that they gave us.

We booked the feeding and bathing elephant tour less than 24 hours in advance, yet everything was confirmed incredibly quickly, and we were picked up the very next morning. The sanctuary is truly ethical and well-organized,no elephants are ridden or harmed in any way. I enjoyed this experience so much ,it was deeply touching and unforgettable. I will cherish this memory forever.

We’ve booked the tour with feeding and bathing the elephant and it was magnificent and unique experience! Our guide Mr. Nui and mahout told us very interesting information about elephants and guided us through all steps. At the end we got a refreshment. Also, the shower and towels are available. We got plenty of photos and videos of us, very nice memory!

We had a great experience at the Krabi Elephant Shelter. The shelter is home to 5 female elephants, all around 50 years old, and the focus is clearly on ethical treatment.

There is no riding at all. The experience includes feeding the elephants, bathing with them in a lake, and then washing them under a fresh water shower. Everyone in the group had several chances to feed the elephants, which was really nice.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and they provided general information about the elephants and their background. Their English was understandable, and they were happy to answer questions.

Important tips:
• It’s recommended to bring water shoes, not flip-flops, for the lake
• If you forget, they can lend used water shoes for free, or you can buy new ones for 250 THB
• There are showers on site, so bring a towel
• Lockers are available to store personal belongings safely

They also provided free coffee and some sweets, and at the end we were treated to sticky rice with mango, which was a nice touch. There’s also a souvenir shop at the entrance.

Transportation was very convenient — we were picked up directly from our hotel and dropped back afterward.

Another big plus: the staff took professional photos during the experience and later sent them to us by email for free. Of course, you can also take your own photos with your phone.

We were a group of about 20 people, and everything was well organized so no one felt rushed.

Overall, a great, ethical, and well-run experience. Highly recommended if you want to interact with elephants in a respectful way.

This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. My kids have always dreamed of getting up close with elephants, and while zoos are usually the only place we can see animals up close in Dubai, nothing compares to this.

The team at the sanctuary are absolutely amazing—so kind, professional, and genuinely caring toward the elephants. You can clearly see the love and respect they have for these beautiful animals.

Everything was perfectly organized, from pickup to drop-off, making the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. Worth every penny!
