Khao Sok National Park

What an amazing experience visiting this lake. Relaxed and calm vibes. Highly recommend to visit this side of thailand also.

National Park fee is 300 Bhat for foreign nationals.
Additionally Boat tour for three hours can cost upto 3400 Bhat for four people.

We visited floating villas and many other view points in the lake.

Khao Sok National Park is an incredibly beautiful and vast destination that exceeded all our expectations. We booked a full-day tour, which turned out to be the perfect way to explore such a large and diverse area. The tour started with a comfortable van ride from our hotel to the park entrance, where we met our guide who stayed with us for the entire day. His explanations and stories really enriched the experience and helped us appreciate the park even more.

One of the highlights of the day was crossing the enormous, breathtaking lake on a traditional long-tail boat. The scenery was spectacular: towering limestone cliffs, lush forest, and the calm, emerald-green water created a magical atmosphere. When we reached the jungle trail, we began a pleasant walk during which our guide introduced us to the local flora and fauna. It was fascinating to learn about the unique ecosystem of the region.

After the trek, we headed to a floating complex with rooms on the lake and a small restaurant where lunch was served. The meal was included in the tour and surprisingly good. We had about two hours to relax, swim near the floating huts, or paddle around the lake in a kayak—an unforgettable and peaceful moment.

The last stop of the tour was a cave filled with bats. Although unusual, it was truly fascinating and added a sense of adventure to the day.

I highly recommend visiting Khao Sok National Park. Its natural beauty, serenity, and well-organized tours make it a must-see destination for anyone traveling in the area.

Khao Sok National Park completely exceeded our expectations. The views are simply breathtaking — towering limestone cliffs, mist rising from the jungle in the morning, and the most peaceful emerald lake I’ve ever seen.
The landscapes feel truly unique and untouched. It’s one of those rare places where you look around and think, “This doesn’t even feel real.” Every boat ride, every hike, every viewpoint was spectacular.
The atmosphere is calm, natural, and deeply refreshing. If you love nature, adventure, and unforgettable scenery, this is a must-visit destination in Thailand.

Well worth a visit. Spectacular scenery and not too overcrowded (yet).
Swimming was warm and felt great.
I do wish the park did better at either restricting plastic use at the resorts or/and charged slightly more and cleaned up the trash. I suppose that should be at a personal and national/global level anyway.

This is such a breathtaking, beautiful ancient forest nestled in the Surat Thani provenance of Thailand. Every turn offers picturesque scenery. From the jetting limestone Mountains to the vibrant emerald green/turquoise colored lake. It is easy to spend days exploring this massive national park. The method of transport is by boat as it is a lake national park. You will need to hire a boat in advance or find one at the Rajjaprabha Pier where you will also pickup your national park entrance fee. I highly recommend staying on a floating lake house bungalow to get a full experience of the park as the golden hours amd early morning mist are a photographers dream!
