About Krabi and Koh Lanta
Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Koh Lanta sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.
Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

I stayed 12 nights at Walden Resort Koh Lanta, and from the very first days it felt like a place I truly felt at home. There was a strong sense of calm and safety throughout my stay, which meant a lot to me and allowed me to fully relax and enjoy my time.
Everything felt genuinely welcoming there. The atmosphere is warm, peaceful, and personal — not like a typical resort, but more like a small community where you feel seen and cared for. I felt comfortable, at ease, and very much at home here and we all became a little family. They arranged a cake and song for my birthday while I was there. Thank you guys!!
Walden Resort became more than just a place to sleep — it became a space where I could slow down and feel grounded. The space and land they have there is serene and just next to the beach, and it would take you 30 seconds to go for a swim - and you have the most magical sunsets there. I would return without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, tranquil, and heartfelt stay on Koh Lanta. I am happy I chose to stay there during my visit in Thailand and koh lanta.
Thank you to the whole team at Walden! You are truly special! ❤️
It’s a slice of paradise that is on the southern—and more peaceful part of the island. Tiny beachfront houses with unbeatable view of sunset. The staff is remarkable—friendly, attentive, and who make you feel right at home. Everything is clean. There is complimentary laundry services, one massage per person, and non-alcoholic beverages and food until 4pm. Tremendous value and comfort. The owners are on the property and they’re wonderful hosts. We will absolutely come back!

Their concept is incredible and very simple: they take care of everything, and you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Everything is included, they are literally at your service, always with a smile!
The food is absolutely delicious!!! REALLY!!! Whether it’s Thai or European cuisine, everything is incredibly tasty and beautifully presented.
Unfortunately, we had quite a bit of rain during our stay, but they were our little rays of sunshine: food delivered directly to our room, massages sheltered from the weather, everything to make us forget the bad weather.
They helped us rent a scooter, book our taxi for the return trip, even took care of our laundry : they handled everything!
The whole team is truly kind and always in a good mood!
The sea right at the foot of the tiny house, the sound of the waves to fall asleep… truly paradise.
Thank you!!!!!
We stayed three nights at Walden Koh Lanta and the experience was truly exceptional. The property is a charming haven above the beach, peaceful and beautifully arranged, with everything we could possibly need. Bruce and Anna, together with their wonderful team, made sure every moment was enjoyable.
The complimentary breakfast and lunch were very generous and delicious, with fresh food and drinks prepared with care. There were paddle boards and bodyboards available, a massage service on site, and plenty of thoughtful details that made the stay feel effortless.
When we experienced an issue with our transfer, they went out of their way to arrange one for us themselves, which we appreciated enormously.
The place itself is special, but it is the people who made it unforgettable. We would return without hesitation.
It is true what they say about Thai hospitality, and we genuinely felt showered with it here. Anna and Bruce were incredibly kind, generous and attentive, and every member of staff was amazing. The chef cooked some of the most delicious food we had in Thailand, truly outstanding.
We absolutely loved everything about this place and will definitely be back. We only stayed one night, after feeling a bit worn out by the craziness and mass tourism in Krabi and some of the more mainstream spots. As it was our first time in Thailand, we knew the highlights would be busy and tiring.
Koh Lanta was originally planned for our next visit to Thailand, when we hoped to explore quieter places at a slower pace. While the island does have its own busy areas, we were really looking for somewhere to slow down and recharge before heading to Phuket. That’s how we ended up finding the last available room at Walden, and our only regret is that we stayed for just 24 hours.
We are already looking at dates to come back and stay for at least a week. We definitely need more of this place.
