About Krabi and Koh Lanta

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Koh Lanta sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

Friendly staff. Good facilities, although we were unlucky with the room/bungalow, which had direct beach access. The bungalow was different from the rest of the bungalows, and appeared to me to be a poorly remodelled building with severe sanitation issues and a insect problem.
The other bungalows appeared to be more modern and generally in better shape.
Having booked two weeks and with no alternative rooms available, the hotel offered a full refund.
The place seemed overwhelmingly populated by sun-hungry Swedish senior citizens.

A nice place close to the beach and a great pool. The breakfast buffet is also good. The staff is really nice and even got me some flowers for my birthday. The AC Bungalow is big but the bathroom already a little bit old.

We stayed in three different hotels on Koh Lanta, and Gooddays Lanta Beach Resort was the first. None of the others even came close to the feeling we had here.

From the moment we arrived, the location stood out. The resort is set right on the beach, and the stream running alongside it creates what feels like a private beach at high tide. It is peaceful, natural, and incredibly grounding. The entire atmosphere encourages you to slow down and actually be present, which is exactly what we were looking for.

The resort is calm and relaxed, perfect for families, couples, and solo travellers who want a quiet, back-to-nature stay rather than a loud or overly commercial resort. Everything feels thoughtfully placed and in harmony with the surroundings.

One of our absolute favourite parts of staying here was the wildlife. During our time at Gooddays we saw geckos, a monitor lizard, hermit crabs, tropical birds, and the local cats and dogs. Watching the crabs moving along the sand in the moonlight is something we will genuinely never forget. It felt like being welcomed into the island rather than just visiting it.

Gooddays is also clearly very eco-conscious, with recycling stations throughout the resort. This really mattered to us. Staying here made us feel connected not only to nature but to the local community too. We found ourselves picking up any rubbish we saw because we wanted to respect the space and support the incredible staff and locals who clearly care so deeply about this place.

The staff deserve special recognition. Every single person we interacted with was kind, friendly, and helpful, always with a genuine smile. A huge thank you to Book in particular, who was incredibly considerate and efficient when we decided to extend our stay. He organised our room move quickly and made the process completely stress-free, which we really appreciated.

The room itself was fantastic and far more spacious than expected. We had a massive king-size bed plus an extra single, and everything was spotlessly clean. The shower had excellent water pressure, especially impressive given we were on an island. There was no TV in the room, but none was needed at all. Instead, we spent time on the balcony, which was a brilliant size and beautifully set up with floor cushions as well as a table and chair set. It was the perfect place to sit, listen to the surroundings, and just exist. The fridge was a good size, and water and toilet paper were replaced daily without fail.

One unexpected and beautiful part of our stay was hearing the local call to prayer. It added such a peaceful and meaningful layer to the experience and made us feel even more connected to the place we were staying in.

We left Gooddays feeling genuinely grateful. It was more than just a hotel, it felt like a place that encourages respect for nature, connection to the island, and kindness towards others. We were very, very happy here and will absolutely return in the future.

Thank you so much to everyone at Gooddays Lanta Beach Resort for creating such a special place.

I loved my stay in Good Days. After a sleepless night in another place that shall not be named, I landed here and thankfully, they saved my experience of Ko Lanta. Staff were super nice and helpful from the get go, I got a comfortable AC bungalow with partial view of the sea and a swimming pool right on the beach by the same price of an AC room where I was before, that had none of the above. I am definitely coming back. Special thanks to GG to was very responsive, kind and helpful.
