About Krabi and Koh Lanta

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Koh Lanta sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming resort that truly felt like a hidden gem. Nestled in a picturesque setting with breathtaking views, it was the perfect place to slow down and relax. The rooms were cozy and welcoming, and the overall cleanliness of the property was excellent and clearly well maintained.
A special thank you to Lisa, who was incredibly warm and attentive throughout my stay. I would happily recommend this resort to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at SriLanta Resort & Spa. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing while enjoying the island vibes.

It’s true that some of the photos on Google Maps are a bit outdated and don’t fully reflect the current reality of the resort — but that definitely doesn’t mean it’s worse. Not at all! If anything, the charm, atmosphere, and overall experience are even better in person.

The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, and the whole atmosphere of the resort feels authentic and serene. But what truly made the difference was the staff — they are simply incredible. So warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. They genuinely make you feel welcome and cared for.

And if you have time to get a massage at the spa, don’t think twice — it is absolutely worth it! The therapists are amazing (seriously!) and it ended up being one of the highlights of our stay. Pure relaxation in a stunning setting.

We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Koh Lanta!

Be very sceptical of some of these reviews.it seems like some people were staying in paradise - this was far from paradise.

We stayed 6 nights and changed rooms last night

Star path room - 2 hard mattresses on the floor. Uncomfortable furniture and single steps everywhere that made it easy to fall.

Forest suite room- much better. Bath tub on the balcony but fully exposed so put a costume on !!

Facilities - the resort is falling to pieces. Broken umbrellas and sunbeds. One of the two pools was green with lack of cleaning. Tables covered in dirt. Rubbish piled up. Light fittings on paths broken and dirty. It was a bit of a tip that had seen better days.

Service - they tried but absolutely no management. Front desk was chaos. Beach bar was contracted to a third party who didn’t really want to do waiter service - you had to go to them. It was all pretty poor.

Breakfast - had it first day and it was ok but once I saw the state of the rest of the hotel we never went back.

We paid £90 a night for this last minute. We wish we hadn’t. I reckon back in the day this was pretty good but it clearly has not been touched since Covid. The photos below are genuine. We will not be going back.

If you are searching for the true definition of 'real relaxation,' this is it. The overall atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve escaped to a tropical island, but in a way that is incredibly stylish and comfortable. The design embraces a minimalist aesthetic, using deep grey tones and natural wood that feel sophisticated yet grounded. Combined with the vibrant accent pillows and the lush greenery surrounding the room, you feel a sense of calm the moment you step inside.

The absolute highlight has to be the expansive private balcony. It’s impressively spacious, featuring a private jacuzzi where you can soak in warm water while listening to the sounds of nature. The bamboo fencing provides a perfect sense of privacy, making it the ideal spot to put away your phone and simply get lost in the forest view.

Down by the shore, the mood shifts to pure coastal bliss. The wide stretch of beach and the turquoise sea are complemented by bright blue bean bags scattered along the sand. It’s the kind of place where time seems to slow down, allowing you to lounge with a cold drink in hand while watching the sunset. It is a truly rejuvenating experience that perfectly balances nature with modern comfort."

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming resort that felt like a hidden gem. Nestled in a picturesque location, it offered breathtaking views perfect for relaxation. While the rooms were cozy and inviting, they did show signs of age, with some furnishings needing a refresh. However, the cleanliness throughout the property was commendable. The staff were genuinely warm and attentive, ensuring my needs were met without being intrusive. I enjoyed the variety of amenities available, from a refreshing swimming pool to a well equipped fitness center. Dining options were diverse, featuring delicious meals that showcased local flavors.Additionally, the resort offered a range of activities, from water sports to guided nature walks, catering to all interests. Overall, it was a delightful escape that allowed me to unwind and recharge. Despite the slightly dated decor, the experience was memorable, and I would recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway.
