About Krabi and Ao Nang
Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.
Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

Extremely disappointing stay – poor service ruined our Krabi trip
This stay was extremely disappointing and ended up ruining our entire trip to Krabi.
We drove a long distance to Krabi and were simply looking for a safe, clean, and comfortable hotel to rest. Before arriving, I found this hotel on Google and called the front desk to confirm room details. Unfortunately, the experience was already unpleasant from that first call.
The front desk staff had an extremely cold and unfriendly attitude. When I asked about the room, I was rudely asked,
“Haven’t you stayed here before?”
When I replied “No,” the staff responded in a very impatient and dismissive tone, only saying that payment was required. When I tried to ask whether QR code payment or an international bank card was accepted, my questions were simply ignored. There was no professionalism or willingness to help at all.
When we arrived at the hotel to check in, things did not improve. We did not understand how to get to our room and stood at the entrance waiting for guidance. Even after asking again, several front desk staff just looked at us coldly and did nothing, offering no instructions or assistance.
This is a tourist destination, yet the hotel staff showed no proper hospitality, and there was a clear lack of basic English communication skills or, more importantly, a service-minded attitude toward guests.
As for the room itself, it was also unacceptable.
• There was a strong unpleasant odor in the bathroom
• There were many red ants around the window area
The next day, I developed red swelling and severe itching on my thighs, which made me very uncomfortable and raised serious concerns about hygiene.
Paying to stay here felt like paying to suffer, not to rest. The experience left us feeling upset and deeply disappointed, completely destroying the joy of our trip.
I will never stay here again and will not recommend this hotel to anyone. I sincerely hope the management will retrain all front desk staff on basic service attitude and professionalism. It is a pity that a hotel with such a nice environment is ruined by poor service and attention to detail.
We stayed in a Mountain View room for 4 nights. The hotel is in a quiet area, and you can reach the main road with restaurants, cafés, and shops within 5 minutes on foot. Ao Nang Beach is about a 20-minute walk away.
The room is spacious and has a nice mountain view. The bed is made from two single beds pushed together, so there is a small gap in the middle, but it was not a big issue.
The shower has strong water pressure, which was very nice. The Wi-Fi in the room is a bit slow, but it works better on the balcony.
We also booked a boat tour and a ferry through the hotel tour desk, and everything was arranged smoothly.
One downside is that the room is not soundproof. You can hear people talking or doors opening from nearby rooms. If you are a light sleeper, it’s better to bring earplugs.
Overall, it is good value for money, with a quiet location, a spacious room, and convenient services.
The hotel is located in a very nice green environment. It is quiet and the staff is very nice. We spent 6 nights here, we got clean towels, Nescafe, tea and cleaning in our room every day. I recommend it to everyone for its value for money. Only suggestion: the cleaning of the common areas (staircase, pool sides) could be a little more frequent.
13/12/2025 10:03Lovely hotel, really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were friendly, especially Jan on the tourist information desk! Rooms were spacious and clean. They were cleaned every day and given fresh towels each day. However the lighting in there was awful at night, definitely needs brighter lights. Also our room had a connecting door to the adjacent room which had no sound proofing whatsoever so could hear EVERYTHING coming from next door. Location was perfect for us, still walking distance to the main parts but far enough out to be nice and quiet. The pool area was nice, a lovely view of the cliffs, however there aren’t many sunbeds and they’re really uncomfortable. It also mentions online and in the room about breakfast but they were not offering breakfast when we stayed, not sure why. However, I would definitely stay here again.
15/11/2025 23:36Terrible service, dirty room – absolutely not worth it
This hotel was a huge disappointment and I regret choosing to stay here.
We drove a long distance to Krabi hoping to find a safe and clean place to rest, but this hotel failed on the most basic standards. Even before arriving, the experience was already bad. When I called the front desk to ask simple questions about the room, the staff spoke in a very rude and impatient manner, questioning me instead of helping. When I asked about payment options, they were dismissive and unresponsive.
Upon arrival, the situation became worse. We did not know how to get to our room and waited at the entrance, yet the front desk staff just stood there with cold faces, offering no guidance or assistance at all. Their attitude was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional.
This is a tourist destination, but the staff showed terrible service standards. Communication was very poor, and instead of trying to help when language barriers existed, they chose to act annoyed and unfriendly, making guests feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
The room itself was also unacceptable.
• The bathroom had a strong, unpleasant smell
• The room was not clean and poorly maintained
Overall, staying here felt like paying money to be treated badly. This hotel completely ruined the mood of our trip. I will never stay here again and absolutely do not recommend it to anyone.
Management seriously needs to retrain front desk staff on basic hospitality and respect toward guests. A hotel in such a nice location should not be operating with this level of service and cleanliness.
