About Krabi and Koh Lanta

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Koh Lanta sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

We visited Thailand for 2 weeks and this was our favourite stay! Staff were so friendly and helpful. We arranged scooter rental through the hotel and it was so easy! I messaged in advance and the scooters were dropped off the day we arrived and picked up for us after. The hotel is right on the beachfront but there is a small swimming pool if you prefer. Stunning views and super relaxed vibes.

Was also nice to see the hotel have implemented a reusable water bottle system. Simply refill at reception. We appreciated this after all other places use plastic water bottles.

Great cocktail selection at the bar. We ate dinner at the restaurant for one night and the food was delicious. It’s close to other restaurants as well. Great options for breakfast and generous serving. We could barely fit everything on the table.

I would definitely stay here again! We will miss this place.

Wr stayed here 3 nights. Set on the beach. Staff are super friendly and the whole place has a relaxed chill vibe..during our stay there were no children as it was relaxed couples only.
The swimming pool is lovely and no one uses it. Our room was very spacious and has great facilities. The best margarita cocktail here! And complementary beach towels.
We had valentines day here and the staff made all guests feel special.
Sunsets seem to be right in front of the beach which was lovely.
One thing they could improve on and make more money would be to come round the guests on the loungers asking if we wanted drinks...lots of times we did but was too lazy to get up lol hence the name lazy lodge.

(It’s for the restaurant)
The mango smoothie is absolutely beautiful. I had the spicy burger in pretty sure and it was very good. The sauce was also very good.

The staff were incredibly sweet. Everyone was very attentive without being too much.
The lodges are super cozy, and the beach access is so easy and convenient. You can really feel that the place has a European owner — there are so many small, thoughtful details. For example, Jenga games in the rooms and foot showers outside all the lodges to rinse off the sand.
We’re sad we could only stay one night. It was the best place we stayed during our entire trip.
The only downside is that the town itself is a bit uneventful, but with a scooter — which you can also rent on site — you can quickly get to nicer areas.

This review is only for the restaurant. The best meal I’ve had in a long time and certainly one of the best on the island! The flavors were delicious and bold. Perfect blend of savory, sour and spicy. Don’t waste your time ordering boring western food, the true Thai dishes here were superb. The service was also incredibly friendly and attentive.
