About Krabi and Krabi province

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Krabi province sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

My wife and I had an excellent stay here at Twin Bay! The staff was absolutely remarkable, special shoutout to Nick who, during our 4 night visit, gave us a ton of recommendations for excursions and food recommendations; and was extremely pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. He is a huge reason our experience at Koh Lanta was such a great time. In general, the whole staff, Mook and Yaya, were just genuinely good people with caring hearts! Grounds workers work hard to keep the resort looking clean and welcoming. 1000/10!!

The accommodations were really quite nice as well, we had the Superior Studio Garden View. The room was spacious and well maintained, generally clean. As some other reviews suggested the door did have tiny gaps between the frame and door but no lizards or bugs came in. We did have to exterminate a couple of mosquitoes (about 5/6 during our 4 night stay) at the start of our stay but it really wasn’t too bad. The AC unit was strong, not too noisy. And the housekeeping kept everything nice and tidy. My only gripe was the water pressure for the shower was less than ideal. But overall the stay was very comfortable, just don’t expect Ritz Carlton level accommodations.

Pros:
- 5 star service from hotel staff!!
- Great convenient location for food and excursions; so much fun to scooter around!
- rooms are clean/good ac/bed is comfortable esp if you like firmer beds
- pool was nice and good beachfront access
- breakfast is quite good as well
- friendly resort cats :)
- great for couples and family

Cons:
- water pressure for shower was low
- occasional bugs/mosquitoes (but I mean, it’s an island, it’s impossible not to have them)

I recently stayed at Twin Bay Resort with a few friends and really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere! The rooms are quite comfortable and well kept (though the beds are quite firm!) and really, the photos don't do this place justice! We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived! The pool overlooking the beach is lovely and has quite a bit of shade (or sun!) depending on what you're after for the loungers. It's not particularly close to other things, though you can walk down the road to a few bars and restaurants. It is a quick 200 baht tuk-tuk ride into the main street with quite a few bars and the night market - these are easy to get with a couple waiting out the front most of the time. The reception staff were also very helpful. I would recommend Twin Bay to those staying in Koh Lanta.

Overpriced and disappointing. Not worth the rating.
We were charged 200 baht for a glass that broke by accident, and the hotel has a long list of fines for broken or missing items. Instead of relaxing, you feel stressed about extra charges.
For the price, the room was very underwhelming: no wardrobe, no bathrobes, and extremely low water pressure. When we asked about the shower, the response was simply: “That’s how it is.”
There’s nothing to do at the hotel (no gym, games, or activities). The scooter we rented through the hotel was unsafe, with worn-out tires.
Breakfast was one of the worst we had in Thailand — very limited selection, poor quality, and badly cooked eggs.
The location is isolated, the road leading to the hotel is mostly unlit at night, and your only options to go out are renting a scooter or taking overpriced tuk-tuks waiting outside. Most nearby cafés are cannabis-oriented, which didn’t suit us.
The only positive: kind and polite reception staff.
Nice sea view, but no privacy — people constantly walk in front of the balcony.
Overall: very poor value for money. We wouldn’t return or recommend

Lovely hotel on the beach with a nice pool. Rooms and pool is bigger then the photos. Recommended place to stay. Quite and beautiful location but a quick and cheap drive many restaurants and the market. All staff very friendly and helpful. Drivers organised by hotel for transfers also very good - they can arrange to pick you up in Phuket.
