About Krabi and Koh Lanta

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Koh Lanta sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

We returned to this fabulous resort given our delightful stay last year. The Khlong Khong Beach-front setting provides an endless horizon of turquoise waters to view. One can alternate swimming in the resort’s pool and the sea. The setting is blissfully quiet, with only birdsong interrupting and gentle breezes punctuating the quiet. The bungalows are beautifully appointed, each having its own furnished, covered patio. Good attention has been paid to making the grounds visually interesting. The staff are so friendly and quick to offer assistance. A delicious variety of freshly prepared foods awaits guests at the buffets. One can walk along the beach for a long stretch, seeing many eateries and beachfront massages on offer. We’d love to visit again!

Beautiful, clean, peaceful, and very welcoming.
The resort is located right on a sandy beach by the sea, which makes the atmosphere even more relaxing.

The room and all common areas were spotless.
The staff were warm and friendly, it truly felt like coming home, even though it was my first visit.

The atmosphere is amazing. All guests seem relaxed, like staying at their own vacation home.

Breakfast was generous, delicious, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients.

Every evening, the resort offers small activities that add a nice touch to the stay and blend perfectly with nature.

Really, really good.
I’ll definitely come back again.

So as a chef for 35 years I'm going to tell you this is one of the best experiences I've ever had. The all you can eat seafood buffet was amazing. The large prawns the shrimp, the steak, the lamb, the scallops, the everything there's too many to list. The manager, her name is banana leaf♥️. Very outgoing, very welcoming. We are coming back on Sunday. We're going to hang out with our family for a little bit. If you want an amazing show. Ladyboys fire show on the beach, fresh seafood and other stuff. Come here 10 out of 10 hands down

Mummy Banana Leaf and her team are just the most professional, welcoming, conscientious people you could hope to be looked after by at a hotel and restaurant. The standard and variety of food (we had the buffet in the evening) was superb - it’s not usually my thing as I’m allergic to nuts - but I was assured I’d be safe and I was. What a treat. All your meat and seafood is beautifully BBQd, and there are plenty of veggie and vegan options. I’d love to stay here one day when I’m back in Lanta, epic location right on sunset beach too! Thank you everyone kup Kuhn kah!

We were initially a bit alarmed by some of the negative reviews we read before arriving in Thailand. We even considered canceling the hotel, but the cancellation period had already expired.

Now that we’ve been here for two days, we’re very happy that we chose this hotel. It’s a small, beautiful resort located directly by the sea. The entire staff is extremely friendly, and almost everyone speaks English very well. Both the resort grounds and the rooms are very clean, and the food is prepared in a glass-enclosed kitchen, which we really appreciate.

We truly enjoy our stay here. Just a small side note: when photographing the sea at low tide, rocks and similar features become visible—but this applies to the entire coastline. We arrived during high tide and were pleasantly surprised to find the place just as beautiful as we had imagined.
