About Krabi and Ao Nang

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

we have just finished a 5 night stay here, it’s a really lovely resort. The facilities were good, staff very friendly. The rooms are pushed back in the hills, can be a tiresome walk but a shuttle taxi takes you up the hill to your room. The resort is very tranquil and set in the jungle with lovely green gardens. The pool is good and the room was spacious and clean. There wasn’t much western options at breakfast which was our only downfall. However Very good value for money and I’d stay here again.

I've got a total soft spot for this hotel in the jungle - it was a real highlight of our Thailand trip! The location was incredible, surrounded by lush greenery, and the hotel itself was amazing. We stayed at a few places during our trip, but this one was my favourite by a mile.

Only thing that bugged me was waiting for the hotel car to take us into the city - the process was a bit chaotic, with staff letting visitors jump the queue. Left some of us waiting ages . We end up getting our own private taxi. Still, can't fault the experience overall, would totally recommend!

We recently stayed at the hotel and overall had a comfortable experience, but there are a few areas where improvements would make the stay much better, especially for Indian and vegetarian guests.

1. Limited Vegetarian Options:
If you are a pure vegetarian, the food choices are quite limited. In the breakfast buffet, vegetarian options were mostly restricted to salads, fruits, and bread-butter. We strongly feel the hotel should expand its vegetarian menu to cater to a wider range of guests.

2. Lack of Inclusivity for Indian Guests
We felt slightly unwelcomed as vegetarian options were minimal. Additionally, the hotel displays clocks for multiple international time zones but does not include India, despite a significant number of Indian tourists visiting. Adding India’s time zone would be a thoughtful and inclusive gesture.

3. Distance from the Beach
The hotel is approximately 2 km from the beach, which can be inconvenient as it requires taking a cab each time. Although the hotel provides a shuttle drop service three times a day, it would be helpful to have:
A) A pick-up service from the beach as well
b) More frequent shuttle timings

4. Limited Late-Night Food Support :
The hotel restaurant closes at 10 PM, making it difficult to order food late at night. Even if food is ordered online, staff do not assist in delivering it to the rooms. Since the rooms are quite far from reception and internal transport services are unavailable at night, collecting food parcels becomes inconvenient.

Overall, a good experience only because of the room stay and unique forest-like ambience.

The resort has a wonderful atmosphere and is located on a mountain, offering a peaceful and natural environment. The service was impressive from the moment we arrived, starting at the reception and continuing with the staff who drove us to our room. The rooms are situated on the hillside, and there is a free shuttle service available both uphill and downhill. You can drive up by car, or walk if you prefer, although it can be a bit steep for higher rooms.

The swimming pool has an amazing view and a very relaxing atmosphere, quiet, clean, and not crowded at all. At the very top of the resort, there is a viewpoint that can be reached by stairs, and the view from above is absolutely stunning, overlooking the beautiful mountain scenery of Krabi.

The room was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and everything was convenient and well prepared. What impressed us the most was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. Overall, I would give this resort a full 10 out of 10 and would definitely love to come back again.

Aonang Fiore Resort is a beautiful property surrounded by lush greenery and is conveniently located close to the main Ao Nang beach market. Having a 7-Eleven right in front of the hotel makes it extremely convenient for quick snacks and essentials.

We stayed in a Deluxe Cottage room, which was decent but felt a bit worn out. While it was manageable and comfortable enough, the room could definitely benefit from some renovation to give it a more modern and refreshed feel.

The pool area is a highlight of the resort — the pool is amazing, and the pool bar service is excellent. The service overall was great, especially from the pool staff and the shuttle driver, who were very helpful and courteous.

One thing to note is that the hotel is Muslim-owned, so alcohol is not served on the property. This may be a drawback for some guests. The breakfast buffet was average at best, with very limited vegetarian options, which was slightly disappointing.

Overall, it was a great stay thanks to the location, greenery, and service. With better vegetarian food options and some room upgrades, the experience could be even better.
