About Krabi and Krabi province
Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Krabi province sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.
Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

I stayed at Marigold during my stay in Ao Nang. My room had an incredible view of nature, perfect for relaxing and waking up to the sound of birds. It’s ideal for couples, especially if you’ve rented a scooter. Krabi town is only a 10–15 minute ride away. They were cleaning our room each day for free. Highly recommended!

We were very disappointed with our stay at Marigold Ao Nang Resort. There was no staff at the reception during check in and check out. We paid for a bungalow but were given just a normal room instead. Our room was the second one closest to the reception, the first row on your right as you enter the small lane into the property. The room and bathroom were both extremely small and cramped. The walls and roof looked damp, the floors were creaky and uneven, and the cupboard was musty and dusty.
The entire room felt old and run down, with a distinct mouldy and musty smell. The bed, mattress, and sheets didn’t feel clean at all—they were dusty and smelled like they hadn’t been changed for months. It was uncomfortable and made it impossible to sleep properly. The balcony furniture was old and dirty, and the table inside the room was unstable and wobbly.
There was water leaking from the bathroom, although the water pressure was decent and the air conditioning worked fine. However, there was no fridge provided, which is unusual for a Thai resort. The property is also under construction at the moment, making it very dusty and noisy. The garden looks overgrown, and the overall condition of the place does not match the photos shown online—they are clearly old and misleading.
Overall, the stay was unpleasant from start to finish. I wouldn’t recommend this resort, even if it were free. The highlight was probably playing with the cats at the resort.
We have been to Krabi several times, but this accommodation is one of the best we’ve ever stayed at.
The location is excellent, and the people are extremely friendly and welcoming.
From the very first moment, we felt comfortable and well taken care of. Simply perfect — exactly what you expect from a great holiday ❤️
We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place.
Comfortable rooms in a beautiful and calm garden, only 5km away from the noisy and crowded beach area. The staff are helpful and friendly. There's a cute cat in the garden. The walls are quite thin so you hear everything in the next room so make sure to bring earplugs. Best to rent a motorbike or arrange transport in advance.
11/01/2026 16:24This place is nice and quiet, our room was the last one down and we have view of the nature( Durian tree, coconut tree and the karst formation in the distance ) the sound of nature is nice if you like those crickets sound. Our room was new and modern with fridge, microwave and kettle to make tea.
The staffs was friendly and helpful, plus we have our main coon cat travelling with us and we are thankful that they allow pet. They have a few cat in of their own on the property. For us we like this accommodation, it’s a bit away from town but there is Grab or the Tuk tuk to call for a ride or rent your own motorcycle.
