About Krabi and Koh Lanta

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Koh Lanta sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

This hotel is in a beautiful location with a stunning beach and nice pool. It is quite far from everything except the national park so something to be aware of.
Driving into the hotel the road is very poorly maintained and the hotel is quite messy with construction happening all around so not a great first impression.
The shower in our room was also bad. Reminding me of a camping shower. You had to hold it to use it as if you left it up it just sprayed straight ahead. The furnishings, especially curtains were also dated and thin/cheap material.

Overall is wasn’t a terrible stay and we made use of the proximity to the beach however for the price we did except a higher standard overall.

Like: from room to pool to beach takes just a few steps. Lovely pool facing beach. Tranquility. No crowd on beach. Lots of sunbed, hammock, swing for the kid in me. Good spread of breakfast. Local dishes was flavorful. Room was comfy with good facilities.
Staff was helpful and even gave us a free ride to town. Owner was very friendly & courteous to offer us drinks at the bar.
Dislike: shower water pressure can be better.
Have to be careful with the Wild monkeys. Got harassed by one who ran towards me when it saw I was holding a banana

Amazing beach, and the pool area is very nice. Perfect place if you’re looking for peace and quiet.

That said, the location is quite far from everything. Not ideal if you want restaurants, nightlife, or tourist areas.
The entrance to the resort is confusing and poorly done.

There’s no proper sign, you will probably get lost, the road desperately needs to be redone, and driving in feels like you’re entering someone’s private house rather than a resort. A clear entrance, proper signage, and some separation or walls would make a huge difference and actually make it feel like a hotel.

The room was okay, but the shower was absolutely terrible. Very weak water pressure, and you have to hold the showerhead just to use it.

Staff were friendly, which is a plus.

Overall, great beach and quiet atmosphere, but management really needs to improve the entrance, road, and room facilities to match resort standards.

If you search for a uniqe, small and cosy resort with a high portion of personal feeling and touch, with the staff being themself not pretending to be something else, this is probably the best choice. If you also prefer natural beach that is incredible beautyful you are in heaven. The resort is very clean, the pool is well maintained and the bungalows in good shape.
This resort is located alone on a huge beach, without any tourism. The last southern resort before the national park. You will se many monkeys and cows in the small resort.
If above suits you, you will have a memory of life.
Thanks to the owners, chef and staff for a fantastic stay
