About Krabi and Ao Nang
Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.
Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

We spent eight nights here. The atmosphere and location are amazing. A lot of greenery makes the temperature lower, so resting is much more comfortable. There is a great pool with a beautiful view of the rock wall. The breakfasts are very good, and the staff are friendly and always smiling. The only downside is that the room was a bit too dark. Overall, excellent value for money.
13/01/2026 07:31Hotel is not at the main road. It’s located in peaceful area. Parking is in front of hotel. We left the car here when going to stay overnight at Railay beach. Villa is good and comfortable. But our villa is near the pool and other guests outside are so loud and can hear when we are in the room and not stop until midnight.
12/01/2026 09:28Phu Pha Ao Nang is located in a quiet area, about a 10-minute walk from the main street. The property is beautiful and well maintained, with a spa, gym, swimming pool, and rooms that feel like small cabins, creating a unique and relaxing atmosphere.
The staff at reception are friendly and helpful. The room is very spacious and comes with a kettle and mini fridge.
On the downside, the room did not provide shower gel or shampoo, the bathroom drains were not working properly, and the shower water turned cold after a short time.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, it was a great experience overall. The highlight is the unique pool set right in the heart of the jungle, creating a truly special atmosphere. The staff take excellent care of all the plants around the property, which makes the whole place feel lush and beautifully maintained.
The restaurant serves good food at very reasonable prices, the same as you would find on the street. Laundry service is also offered at street-level prices, which is a big plus. The pool is wonderful, open for long hours, and perfect for relaxing. There are always available sunbeds, so there’s no need to worry about finding a spot. The hotel also provides several daily transfers to the beach, which is a very nice convenience.
The rooms are clean and tidied every day. The only downside is the high humidity throughout the property - nothing dries, and all clothes stay damp, even those that were dry before.
Overall, it’s a very nice hotel with great facilities and service, and we truly enjoyed our stay.
We stayed at Phu Pha Spa & Resort for three nights and overall had a very positive experience. The location is truly beautiful: the rooms are surrounded by lush greenery, giving the impression of being in a small forest, with a pool located right at the center of the resort. The rooms are very spacious, as is the shower area.
The hotel offers several useful services. The laundry service is excellent, with multiple options to choose from — machine drying or natural drying, ironing, and an express service. We tried both the ironing service and the express option, and they were both excellent, with very reasonable prices.
A shuttle service to the beach is available, with several runs throughout the day and return trips to the hotel. This was extremely convenient, especially since Grab is not always easy to find in the area.
Breakfast is available at the hotel, although we did not try it, and the on-site restaurant is open until 9 p.m. One afternoon we ordered some food to enjoy in our room, and it was delivered in neatly organized containers, which we appreciated.
The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, always willing to assist. The only area for improvement would be the reception: communication was sometimes limited due to language barriers. This isn’t a criticism, but rather a suggestion for enhancement.
The resort also includes a small sauna and a small gym. The only real downside was the humidity in the rooms — a solution for this would be helpful, perhaps with air fresheners and mosquito nets to allow windows to stay open. The bathrooms could also benefit from a bit of renovation.
Overall, our experience was positive, and we would recommend Phu Pha Spa & Resort for a relaxing stay in Ao Nang.
