About Krabi and Koh Lanta

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Koh Lanta sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

Had a lovely stay here would come again! the room is very clean, with a comfy bed, a.c works well, mini fridge, and super cute balcony with chairs. The area is good but recommend getting a moped to travel around, which we actually rented from here. There is a lovely brunch place called “Tuesday Morning” literally across the road, which we went to everyday I’m not joking. It’s a 15 minute walk to Kantiang Beach. Abu was very accommodating with renting the moped, and also organising us a taxi to the port. Also the hotels ginger cat was like the best cat ever

***Location***: Knowing that you need a scooter or healthy legs to walk 800m at least to reach a supermarket and a bunch of restaurants, the location is great and quiet.

***Room***: the rooms are outdated but what was even worse: all windows and mirrors have not been cleaned, so only dirty sea view. The bathroom was disgusting, there is no place for your cosmetic stuff. Considering the price, you would get better standard in Europe - alright, it was around NYE...

***Service***: coming to the worst. The service is simply horrible. There was no room cleaning, half a roll of toilet paper for more than 4 days, yeah. Very unfriendly reception service when asking for toilet paper.

******Scam try!!!!******

The main reason why I cannot recommend the hotel: I asked the manager to call us a taxi to the next village (~3.8km), NYE. He told me that the transportation will cost 1000 BHT, but he could offer it for 800 BHT, privately. Ridiculous try of a scam - I told him that the transport from Krabi Airport to the hotel on Koh Lanta (97km) inclusive ferry fee was much cheaper than his price for 3.8km. Then he told me, that prices on Koh Lanta are different - for sure, but not like that. I cannot stand it - these guys should lose their face trying to scam you at any time possible.

The only solution: I asked the next taxi tuktuk on the street which charged us 150 BHT.

A hotel manager trying to scam me, think of it. I have really good advice: don't play on the smartphone all day, you should better care about the rooms. Always and everywhere around Krabi as well as Koh Lanta Thai people try to scam tourists - my Thai experience this time is full of negativity.

Update 2025: This review was deleted on Agoda due to misleading and deceptive content for users. Well, just do not book a room at a hotel where the hotel manager is trying to scam you.

Cozy little place with clean rooms and sheets. Waterfront right across the street, sounds of waves to help you sleep. Beautiful view as well, very atmospheric. The person at the check in desk waited specifically for me to arrive before going home for the night. Make sure to book in advance, if you just show up, you won't find anyone to check you in. People go to bed early here it seems.

One complaint is the AC, it seems to work but does nothing to keep the temperatures in the room down. An easy fix I'm sure. Otherwise it's wonderful, be it a simple, and cozy place.

Messy Anger ★★★☆☆

Let me start by saying my review is based on other hotels around Thailand as a comparison.

Wifi:
The wifi in the hotel is poor and mainly reachable from the front lobby only. Our room was near to the lobby area but I struggled to get connectivity and when connected there was very little throughput. Wifi I would give a zero (0) for in room.

Room:
We had the deluxe twin room, 1 double bed and a single. Beds were comfortable but the sheet on the double bed were ripped. Clean but ripped. The room is tired, minimal, the TV didn't work (whos watching telly anyways), and importantly there was no daily room cleaning service. The Air-con worked well. Overall the room had a Butlins (Motel)feel about it. 2 star quality.
Service:
The hotel offers Taxi and motor bike hire which is convenient. The two bikes we had were in good working order. Maybe a little over the standard price but I can't complain. It's an optional extra and we were satisfied.

Location.
It's an Island and as such the main attractions are the beaches and views. The beach opposite is very rocky and therefore not many people frequent it. There's better a short distance away. 30 min walk, 5 mins on a bike.

Staff:
Friendly, helpful. All good

Value for money.
Sadly given it's location and the standard of the room, the website photos can be a little misleading. I would not stay here again. It is IMO overpriced.

Simple fixes. Offer daily room cleaning services, refresh the water in the rooms daily, deep clean required some areas are dusty.

I hate giving a poor review so hopefully they implement changes to improve the room quality.

I wanted to rent a scooter from here but I’ve never ridden one before. The guy let me try one out in the lot and he was so patient. I crashed twice so in the end I didn’t take it but so kind of him!!
