About Krabi and Ao Nang

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

Very disappointing stay – would not recommend

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable.

First of all, the room was far too small, barely enough space for luggage or to move comfortably. On top of that, the walls are extremely thin, so you can hear every noise from neighboring rooms, which makes resting almost impossible.

There was also a persistent unpleasant smell in the room, which never really went away. Noise was a major issue overall — both inside and outside the hotel.

Right in front of the hotel there are construction sites, and the construction noise starts as early as 6:00 AM. Because of this, it was impossible to sleep in the morning. This is something guests should be clearly informed about in advance.

The breakfast was very poor, with very limited choice and low quality. It did not meet even basic expectations.

The reception service was also very bad. The staff was unhelpful, unfriendly, and did not seem interested in solving problems or improving the guest experience.

Due to all these issues, we decided to leave the hotel earlier than planned. Overall, this stay did not offer value for money and caused a lot of unnecessary stress.

I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

Overall, I had a great experience during my 6-night stay at this hotel. The rooms are modern, spacious, and very clean, with air conditioning that works perfectly. The walls are a bit thin, but I personally didn’t experience any noise issues during my stay.

There are two breakfast options available: The complimentary breakfast included with every room which is just toast and juice, and alternatively, you can pay extra to upgrade to the full breakfast, which offers a solid variety of options in a grab-and-go style. For the price, I found it to be very good value.

The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating. The location is excellent IF you rent a motorbike, as I did. It’s about a 5-minute drive to Ao Nang Beach, and there are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

The reason I rated the hotel 4 out of 5 stars is due to a sewage smell coming from the bathroom, which others have mentioned as well. Luckily, it only appeared during the last two days of our stay, but it was somewhat unpleasant. If the hotel can resolve this issue, it would easily be a 5-star stay in my opinion.

Overall, I felt I received great value for the money and would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is one of the better ones “values-for-money” in the Ao Nang area.

Pros:
The staff were friendly and helpful. Optional breakfast was okay for the price. The room and common areas are modern, and were always clean and tidy.

Cons:
The drains in the bathroom weren’t great, the bathroom kept flooding from showering. The water temperature wasn’t steady, and kept changing between hot and cold.
The walls are thin, so you can hear the elevator all the time, along with the foot traffic in the corridor.
