About Krabi and Krabi province

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Krabi province sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

The only naturally occurring saltwater hot spring in Thailand and one of a few in the world.

The ponds are surrounded by the mangrove forest. The temperatures are between 40-45 degree Celsius. At the bottom of two ponds in particular look like a miniature of stalagmite caves. Air bubbles pop up from the bottom of these ponds, awesome. You are not allowed to bathe in these 2 ponds.

Entry fees are dual pricing systems, one for Thais and more expensive for foreigners. There are parking fees as well.

I had the opportunity to visit Nampu Ron Khem Klong Thom in Krabi, and it was a very relaxing and memorable experience. The hot spring contains naturally heated, salty mineral water, which felt extremely soothing, especially after a long day. What I enjoyed most was the peaceful atmosphere, as the area is surrounded by trees and feels very close to nature. The place is well maintained but not overly commercial, which made the experience more authentic. Spending time there helped me reduce stress and feel mentally refreshed. Overall, it was a unique experience that allowed me to appreciate both the natural beauty and the health benefits of Krabi’s hot springs.

It’s just like an onsen experience just that it’s in Thailand. My body thanked me for the dip.

Place is clean and there’s locals only. I had a peaceful time.

One of the pool has the whole ecosystem within. If you look at it carefully you’ll notice photosynthesis is in progress.

It’s worth my 200thb.

Real saline water. Very good because we can bathe full body, fully clothed.
Good facility and well maintained, very clean with individual family pool concept. When we came, we saw some of the pools being drained and manually scrub by their local workers.
Shower rooms by gender, and wheel chair friendly.
Foreigners pay THB 200 per pax.
Each car pays THB 20.
No food is allowed in the venue.
No soap or shampoo allowed either.

Have traditional treatment massage service available. They charged us differently from the price menu, more expensive a bit. But they are skilled in traditional Thai massage.
