About Krabi and Ao Nang
Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.
Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

Nice beach, full of lively creatures
02/03/2026 22:30Quieter beach. The water is quite far out when we arrived. At least 300 meter from the sandy beach and seemed shallow too. Good for bare foot walking but may not be suitable for swimming. The view is still splendid nevertheless. And it is also very clean.
01/03/2026 16:26Beautiful beach with plenty of trees on the back - there is a lot of places in a shadow so this beach seems to be a perfect one for really hot and sunny days.
There is a decent parking lot and couple of small grocery stores and street food stands/restaurants.
Noppharat Thara beach is a bit more distant from Ao Nang hotel area so it is much less crowded than other places!
We came here after a suggestion, in search of tranquility. It is definitely more peaceful than Ao Nang, but we did not even stay. The water is so shallow, and murky, it was not inviting at all. Too bad There were also a lot of jellyfish dying on the sand on low tide, that is not related to the beach of course, but in non-transparent water you cannot see them.
28/01/2026 17:24A beautiful little spot past the end of the beach. Smooth sand with a few patches of small rocks but an easy walking beach. it seems that you shouldn't leave bags unattended on the beach if you go swimming. There are signs warning of danger of robbery. I felt perfectly safe walking the entire beach and the end is very beautiful, it wraps around the point to a park. Here you can walk among huge trees that have fallen due to the rising sea level. Great views and great exercise.
