About Krabi and Krabi province
Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Krabi province sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.
Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

I visited on Sunday afternoon. it was almost empty and I was there with a few other people
If you go down the stairs and the left side , there is a quiet, beautiful beach, feels like a private beach ,which is perfect for you if you want to be alone
Lets not discuss the price again, we all agree the rates for foreigners is far too high. I have my wife go alone. I can enjoy the beautiful pictures she shoots. Let's hope the government will stop this policy in the future, especially for those who live and work in this country.
28/07/2022 18:45Sad to see you have to pay for this now. The peep isn’t great and we didn’t go down. We did however wander through the shops adjacent. We had a chat with all the vendors who are absolutely lovely and very much appreciated our customer so if you do go, give them a few minutes and have a browse and a chat. Very reasonable prices.
21/10/2025 22:35The 75-million-year-old Shell Cemetery in Krabi is a unique natural site with ancient fossilized seashells. Once a popular stop for tourists, the area is now much quieter with fewer visitors. Most food shop operators have closed, and souvenir shops remain open to serve those who still come to explore this historic place.
For me it's still a good bargaining place to buy souvenirs here.
Nice little activity to do during our stay in Krabi province, has a beautiful beach which was nice to explore It wasn't like super entertaining but I come from NZ and we have lots of fossils ☀️ Beach was worth it though, does cost entry fee and has public toilets
