About Krabi and Ao Nang
Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.
Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

Being vegetarian I enjoy tofu deep fried with garlic. Mangrove makes this dish brilliantly. My friend had a vegetable soup also brilliant. Attention to fresh flavours, garlic done perfectly and chilli just right. The staff are friendly, efficient and understanding. It was a bit smokey with the grill. Worthy restaurant reasonably priced. A five star experience.
24/01/2026 14:56Came for an afternoon lunch here after spending the day in Railey beach.
The food was delicious and service was excellent.
We ordered the grilled fish and the grilled chicken with papaya salad and rice.
Large portions and prices very reasonable.
Tasty cocktails as well.
Would highly recommend a stop off here!
Incredible food! We ate here 3 out of the 4 nights we were in Railay and everything our server recommended was Devine. The fried mangrove jack (fish) served with green mango salad was a knockout as was the khao soi. Do yourself a favour and get in early - it’s a busy place that is well worth your time. Our server was with us on all 3 nights and was giving us a breakdown of a sauce my husband had asked be served on the side of his meal - ingredients and how to prepare. Excellent English skills and culinary knowledge.
17/01/2026 14:48The barbecue chicken is out of the world. Loved the ham cheese spring roll too. Khao suey was great as well. Came back second time before leaving to enjoy the food again. Highly recommend.
10/01/2026 21:10Mangrove Restaurant completely exceeded our expectations. The grilled fish was unbelievably fresh, smoky and perfectly cooked — easily the best we’ve ever had. And the Pad Thai… absolutely unforgettable. Rich, balanced, full of flavor and cooked with so much care.
The staff were lovely and welcoming, and the atmosphere is calm and authentic, making the whole experience even better.
If you’re in the area, this place is a must. Exceptional food, honest prices, and a meal you’ll remember forever.
