Practical tips

  • Visit slightly before standard lunch or dinner peaks to avoid queues.

  • Mention allergies or chili level when ordering — Thai dishes can be spicy by default.
  • Pair your meal with bottled water and reef-safe sunscreen if you continue to the beach.

About Krabi and Koh Lanta

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Koh Lanta sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

5 stars. Hands down the best restaurant on the island. There is a reason you have to make a reservation. We went twice it was so good. I highly recommend the ribs and the sea bass plate. All the small plates were amazing

After several nights of traditional Thai food along Long Beach, we fancied something different—specifically oysters, which this place was recommended for.
The setting itself is genuinely lovely—decorated with care, with that upscale atmosphere you don't often find around here. The open garden style is welcoming. One surprise though: no fans. Given the humidity, sitting without any air movement definitely detracted from the experience.
First disappointment: they'd run out of oysters.
The very thing we came for wasn't available.
Service had some lapses too. Small things like ensuring cutlery was set for all diners were missed—details you wouldn't expect to slip at a restaurant pitching itself at this level.
The menu takes a curated approach rather than the typical endless Thai selection, with prices reflecting the high-end positioning. Our starters and mains (duck, ribs, and tuna steak) were all competently prepared, nicely presented, but not exceptional. Portions lean towards "fine dining small"—more style than substance.
With drinks and coffees we came out at around 1,000 baht per head. For Koh Lanta that's significant.
The atmosphere delivers, but between the missing oysters, service oversights, and food that didn't quite justify the premium, it landed as an "ok" rather than memorable evening.

Very tasty food. All dishes were so good except hummus with overfried falafel. I would recommend just to remove it from the menu as it was really not same level with another food.
Portions are small. We order almost the full menu.
Anyway great experience which I would like to repeat again if I will be at Lo Lanta

We had an incredible evening here - everything was honestly perfect.
We started with 3 small plates (lobster bisque, smoked prawns and fig and goat cheese salad). For mains we shared the duck and the tuna with some sides (definitely get the truffle mashed potatoes). And dessert we had the milk bar crack pie and the creamy chocolate.
Even though everything tasted divine you definitely have to get the perfectly cooked tuna and the milk bar crack pie!!
Service was exceptional- especially considering how busy it was!
P.S. the drinks were also to die for

We loved this restaurant so much that we went there two nights in a row !
The food is simply delicious, as well as cocktails. They also have a very nice wine selection.
The Chef is using fresh qualitative ingredients and truly worked the flavours, everything was so tasteful. We loved the staters, and were happy to find fresh oysters and premium cold cuts. Grilled meat & fish are perfectly cooked.
The staff is well-trained and super nice.
A little pricier than other restaurants around but definitely worth it !
