Practical tips

  • Visit slightly before standard lunch or dinner peaks to avoid queues.
  • Carry cash; some local restaurants prefer it for small bills.
  • Mention allergies or chili level when ordering — Thai dishes can be spicy by default.
  • Pair your meal with bottled water and reef-safe sunscreen if you continue to the beach.

About Krabi and Ao Nang

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

Good food and a very popular spot in Railay.
Just be prepared to wait a bit — service can be a little slow, so patience is needed.

We had the fried fish, Thai minced beef with basil, and a stir-fried vegetable dish — all tasty and satisfying.

They also allow split bills and accept credit cards, which is a big plus

Amazing food and a really lovely experience. I’m vegan, and despite a bit of a language barrier, the staff were genuinely patient and kind, and we managed to work out exactly what I don’t eat. The vegan green veggie curry was honestly the best I’ve had in Thailand — absolutely delicious and felt so fresh and healthy. We also loved the relaxed ambience upstairs, it was such a nice place to sit and unwind. My kids really enjoyed their pizza too. There were lots of staff around, and while I’m only judging from our own experience, the food and overall vibe were excellent. Would happily come back.

Took chicken satay and thai fresh veggies roll, both were 10/10. Chicken comes with peanut sauce and veggie roll with a spicy sauce (but level 2/5). Also the beer was iced cold, coldest beer i had in Thailand and they have western toilet w paper. The staff are super friendly too!

During our visit to the beautiful coastal area of Raylay Beach, we had the pleasure of dining at Raylay Thai Cuisine, a charming and authentic Thai restaurant perfectly in tune with the relaxed seaside atmosphere.

We tried the Pad Thai, which was flavorful and beautifully balanced, and the garlic bread, which was surprisingly delicious and paired wonderfully with the rest of the meal. One of the highlights was enjoying fresh coconut milk served directly in the coconut—refreshing and perfect for the beach setting.

The restaurant offers a very welcoming environment, and we were pleased to see that they provide vegan options upon request, making it an inclusive choice for different dietary needs.

Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience with great food, friendly service, and a lovely coastal vibe. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Raylay Beach!
