About Krabi and Ao Nang

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

Well that’s a quality place!
Cool food, cool design, cool breeze over the rooftop. Great views over Ao Nang centre.
Their attitude is very attentive and prices very affordable for what you get.
Drinks & cocktails list is a special one and well thought through.
Will be back for sure.

This place has everything—except a good chef.

We visited this restaurant for dinner, tempted by its high Google ratings and its rooftop location. Sea Salt Restaurant definitely scores points for ambiance.

As usual, we ordered several dishes, including a pizza, a beef burger, and homemade fish cakes. Below is my rating for each dish on a 10-point scale:
- Burger: 6/10
- Pizza: 5/10
- Fish cakes: 4/10
- French fries: 7/10

The restaurant has a great location, nice décor, friendly wait staff, and clean toilets. It has a lot of potential, but the food quality doesn’t match the setting. With a skilled chef and a more versatile, better-executed menu, this place could be excellent.

I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re specifically looking for good food.

Hidden gem tucked away on the rooftop of the 6 storey building. Great view overlooking the cliff and the street. The burger and fries are simply delicious! The Creme Brulee came with a little local addon - slice of Dragon fruit. Service staff and attentive, friendly and understand English. Highly recommend!

This is a restaurant with a great view since it sits high above the street.

I had their pork chop...cooked to perfection-so not overcooked and I chose a mushroom sauce to pour over it. I also loved their pineapple juice.
My husband got the mushroom ravioli and we found that sharing the two was a delicious combination.
Crème brûlée was delicious and a generous serving so we shared that as well.
I would definitely return here.
