About Krabi and Ao Nang
Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.
Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.
When planning island tours from Krabi, arrive at the pier early, bring sun protection, and keep cash for national park fees. Tour availability depends on tide and wind — confirm with the operator the evening before departure.

Where to start. One of the most amazing retreats you can imagine. If you’re looking for a welcoming, grounding and relaxing stay, this is the place to go. Marina, Margaret, Cinco, Jeremy and Tatiana are all very warm hearted & kind and really making you feel at home.
All the dogs and cats are also very special, really cute and into cuddling.
I booked the healing package (reiki, ear candeling, sound bath) and I’m so grateful for the treatments/ sessions, they were very powerful and deep. Ive done these type of sessions at other place but this felt like a next level.
What I also liked is that it’s not a ‘look at me being spiritual and awakened’ kind of place. It’s very authentic and down to earth in the way they connect and work.
I love the passion all of them put in their work and the connection with the guests staying. I felt so much at home that I felt sad to leave.
I spent a beautiful 1 day retreat. Yoga, ear candling, sound bath, reiki...it is the perfect place for such retreat. Award to the last yoga (yin yoga) class by Luis which was amazing. A beautiful diwcovery! The discussion with Marina resonated so much. Thanks for the warm welcome. I will be back!
20/12/2025 15:11We spent a wonderful week at Marina Yoga Retreat in Thailand and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the owner and staff made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. A special mention to Margriet, who was absolutely fantastic so warm, helpful and genuinely caring from the moment we arrived.
The yoga sessions were held twice daily with excellent teachers, and there were other activities available in between if you wanted to stay active or explore. One of our favourite touches was the option of enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal each evening — such a lovely way to end the day.
The retreat itself is set in a quaint, tranquil location that feels peaceful and relaxing, yet it’s close enough to town that there’s plenty to see and do nearby. Having mopeds available to hire on site made getting around incredibly easy. We also loved having access to a beautiful pool just a couple of minutes down the road, and the on-site laundry facilities were really convenient.
Our room was comfortable and charming, with a sweet little kitchen area that made it feel like a home away from home. Everything about our stay felt thoughtful and well cared for.
We truly loved our experience at Marina Yoga and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, friendly and well-run retreat. It’s an amazing place with amazing people, and we can’t wait to return.
I stayed here for 6D/5N for a yoga retreat. The booking process was smooth and Margriet replied quickly and she helped me arrange my arrival. I had my own room and it was nice and clean. Breakfast was provided every morning and it had a generous serving of fruits and my egg on rye bread was always delicious. The yoga classes were meaningful with breathing awareness, well-cued poses, and dedicated meditation time. When it was time to go, I felt like I wanted to stay for a few more weeks and continue the inner work. The pool was nice, especially on hot days. All instructors and staff were welcoming and friendly. I felt like I had so much time to be with myself and that was exactly what I wanted.
22/02/2026 19:54I spent 5 wonderful nights at Marina Yoga Retreat and truly enjoyed every moment. The yoga sessions were fantastic, and the teachers were outstanding. Marina and Margriet were incredibly kind, helpful, and created such a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The pool, just a short stroll away, was perfectly refreshing after classes.
The rooms are a bit dated but cozy and fully equipped with everything you need, just don’t expect a 5-star hotel. It’s a little way from the city, but you can easily rent a scooter or take a Grab/Bolt ride. Plus, snacks and drinks are available right on-site. Overall, it’s a peaceful haven for unwinding.
In a world rushing by, places like this remind us to pause, breathe, and reconnect with ourselves.
Thank you!
