About Krabi and Ao Nang
Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.
Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.
When planning island tours from Krabi, arrive at the pier early, bring sun protection, and keep cash for national park fees. Tour availability depends on tide and wind — confirm with the operator the evening before departure.

I’ve had a 3 days Muay Thai training here in Ao Nang and this place is absolutely the best! It’s really old school but the teacher is very experienced and gives really good training and advice. He has a lot of humour too, which makes it really fun. The trainings are very effective focusing on technique and condition and they adapt based on your skill level. I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to train Muay Thai in Ao Nang.

11/02/2026 15:31Great experienced trainers, old school gym. Dropped in for a group class 4-5.45pm or so, warmup, shadow boxing, bag and pad work with a trainer, then sparring, conditioning and a warm down/stretch.
Be warned there's no shower and just a couple of smallish fans so bring a lot of water and maybe a towel + change of tshirt.
Trainers were great, a bunch of small corrections in my technique that I'll remember going forward. Beginner and pro friendly, 2 were training for fights, one was quite new, and me training for a year and a half now all got some great work in.
My partner and I joined a class and had an amazing experience.
Each of us got our own trainer, both with extensive experience and titles in Muay Thai, Thai Boxing, and Boxing. They were very professional, patient, and friendly throughout the session.
You can tell they truly enjoy teaching and adapt the training to each person’s level. They also offer weekly classes, both group and private.
Highly recommended if you’re in Ao Nang and want to experience authentic Muay Thai with top-level coaches.
