About Krabi and Ao Nang

Krabi province on Thailand's Andaman coast is famous for limestone cliffs, clear water, and easy access to islands such as Phi Phi, Hong Island, and local four-island loops. Ao Nang sits within this network of beaches, piers, and national park zones, making it practical for both short holidays and week-long stays. Infrastructure has improved steadily — ATMs, mini-marts, clinics, and tour counters are common — yet the region still feels more relaxed than busier beach hubs.

Check In Krabi publishes guides, hotel lists, restaurant picks, and public place notes to help visitors compare options before they book. Always cross-check ferry times, park fees, and national holiday crowds because conditions change by season. Respect marine parks: avoid single-use plastic on boats, do not stand on coral, and follow staff instructions during snorkeling stops.

The worst experience I've ever had attending Muay Thai, especially for 1,200 baht. You'll see eight fights, and all but one will be junior fights, and that one will be a semi-professional fight. It's better to spend that money and time on a massage, food, or give it to a homeless person.
P.S. if you are taller 1.7m prepare for uncomfortable seats

Thai Boxing Night: A Ringside Experience to Remember

I recently attended a Thai boxing night with my wife and friends, and it was nothing short of spectacular. As a first-timer, I wasn’t sure what to expect—but the evening blew me away. We were fortunate to be seated in the VIP section, giving us an unbeatable ringside view of all the action.

The event featured seven thrilling fights, each one more intense than the last. The atmosphere was electrifying, with the crowd fully immersed and the energy pulsing through the venue. It was clear that the organizers knew how to put on a show—everything felt professional and well-executed.

One of the highlights was having drinks delivered directly to our seats, and at a surprisingly affordable price. Even the toilet facilities were clean and accessible, which added to the overall comfort of the night.

This experience has definitely sparked my interest in Thai boxing, and I’d jump at the chance to attend another event like this. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a night of adrenaline, culture, and top-tier entertainment.

If you want to have a nice evening out if you don't know what to do, watching a Muay Thai fight is a fun thing to do! This stadium is really nice with great VIP seats as well for just a little bit more than standard price.

The speakers are very nice and we saw some great fights. Highly recommended to do when in Ao Nang!

Trained at this gym for 2 weeks and can’t recommend it enough. Was looking to improve technique, balance, spar with Thai fighters and ultimately prepare for fighting. Found it all here.
This is not a tourist gym where they run you down in a fitness circuit. This is a proper traditional Muay Thai gym where they prepare fighters from young to older.
The coaches Yod and Mo (both very professional and friendly) after seeing your level will work pads with you, spar with you: in a way that is challenging enough to your level. You will learn technique which we were after.
In the 2 weeks we only had a few times some foreigners dropping in for a class, otherwise every day there are young local students and fighters training. Some of them you can see then fight in the stadium in the same building (we went to see it and it was really good).
You will be impressed by the friendliness and good energy of this gym.
Price is very cheap compared to other popular gyms in the area. There is a session in the morning and also in the evening. The mornings class is very quiet, so you can have a lot of 1 to 1. Give it a try.

You’ve gotta see a Muay Thai fight or two while you’re in Thailand. Authentic.
